We are looking for a Senior GL Accountant who is thoroughly familiar with general accounting, accounts payable, external audits and SOX compliance. We need someone who has strong month end close skills and an ability to collaborate across all levels.


Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Ensure the execution of monthly, quarterly and year end close under the company’s financial close timeline
  • Responsible for OPEX accruals, including open PO’s accruals
  • Prepare Expense Analysis monthly for major expenses and manage monthly meeting with VP’s
  • Responsible for review of flux analysis, actual vs. forecast for P&L and Balance Sheet
  • Perform month-end designated balance sheet accounts and update each reconciliation with current and accurate support
  • Ensure that all responsible areas are SOX compliance with controls closely monitored as part of monthly close
  • Assist the regulatory and sales tax areas, which includes monthly compliance filing and account reconciliations.
  • Assist internal and external audits to ensure compliance
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
  • Vision and ability to identify and implement process improvements and accounting systems as part of continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support ERP enhancements and other system projects
  • Support Assistant Controller and Corporate Controller on special projects
  • Performs other duties as assigned


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance, with a minimum 7 years related accounting and finance experience
  • Experience in NetSuite is a plus
  • Self-driven and resourceful to meet deadlines, achieve goals, work independently as well as work well in teams or groups
  • Strong interpersonal, excellent written and verbal communication skills required
  • Ability to multi-task, work under stressful conditions, and meet deadlines
  • Able to thrive in a fast pace-setting
  • Strong Excel skills with proficient understanding of systems
  • Robust analytical and problem solving skills, with great attention to detail
  • Solid organizational skills
